Publication fee

As an Open Access Journal, the International Journal of Prenatal & Life Sciences ensures that all published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide, without subscription or access barriers. To support this model, the Journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC), which covers the costs of editorial management, copyediting, layout, indexing, and online hosting.

1. Standard Publication Fee

For all accepted manuscripts, there is a flat publication fee of 1,450 euros.
This fee is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. There is no submission fee, meaning authors are not charged during the review process. The APC may be covered by the author, their institution, research organization, or a funding body.

2. Reduced Fee for Young Researchers

Recognizing the importance of supporting emerging scholars, the Journal offers a reduced publication fee of 450 euros for young researchers.
This category applies to authors who are PhD candidates, recent postdoctoral researchers (within 3 years of earning their PhD), or early-career professionals without stable institutional funding. The goal is to encourage high-quality contributions from new voices in the field of prenatal and life sciences while reducing financial barriers.

3. Waiver Requests

In exceptional circumstances, authors may apply for a full or partial waiver of the publication fee. Waiver requests must be well-justified and submitted at the time of manuscript acceptance. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis, particularly for authors from low- and middle-income countries or those facing demonstrable financial constraints.
